Livia Massarelli

Born in 1991, Livia Massarelli is an italian dance artist interested in performance and choreography.

Livia is currenlty dancing with the international touring dance company EDGE based at the Place, London. She graduated with honors in 2013 from Accademia Nazionale di Danza of Rome and in 2015 she completed the professional training course International Dance Program directed by Sara Lourenco and Andrea Palombi. She has studied and worked with world-reknown artists participating in intensive workshops and festivals such as Impulztanz (Vienna), Biennale Danza (Venice), Festival Dei Due Mondi (Spoleto) Unitanz (Lecce),  Tanzfrankfurt (Frankfurt) and  has performed in  choreographies by Emanuel Gat, Malou Airaudo, Rodolfo Leoni, Sara Lourenco, Andrea Palombi, Francesca Lombardo, Ricky Bonavita (Compagnia Excursus) Giovanna Velardi and Carole Magnini (evidanse).

Livia is also interested in the choreographic research and since 2011 she has been investigating her own voice in the choreographic world. Her solo Lichtspiel Dance has been selected in the festival Nutrimenti 2011 and her own choreographies have been presented at the Terni Festival (2015) and Festival Arte E Scienza of Rome (2014).

Since 2012 she has been part of Seeinteracting project as a dancer and choreographer.
